Mary Cayton, RN, BSN - Program Coordinator

Mary received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Avila College in Kansas City, Missouri in   1980 and has been a registered nurse for 30 years. She held positions in acute care for the first eight years of her career, gaining experience in medical/surgical, emergency services, intensive care and obstetrical nursing during that time.  She spent 9 years as a school nurse and served as the nurse manager for Carthage R-9 Health Services for six of those years.   In 2003 she accepted a position as a Health Science educator for Carthage Technical Center instructing at the secondary level as well as adult  C.N.A. and insulin administration classes.  The new Practical Nursing Program has been an initiative she and members of administration have been involved in for several years and in which she is now dedicated to serving as the Program Coordinator.

Jennifer Huston, RN, BSN -Full-Time Instructor

Jennifer received her PN Diploma from Carthage Technical Center in Carthage, MO in 2011; her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Crowder College, Neosho, MO in 2013; her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS in 2015. Jennifer’s nursing experience and clinical experience expands into a multitude of facets including; Pediatrics, Oncology, Medical, Surgical, ICU, Cardiac Step-Down, and Cardiology Clinic. After graduating Crowder, Jennifer began practicing nursing at Via Christi hospital in Pittsburg, KS as a Registered Nurse on the Medical/Oncology/Pediatrics floor.  In 2015, she took a change of pace and accepted employment with Mercy as a nurse in a physician clinic in Neosho, MO. She considers nursing her passion.  She is excited with the opportunity to teach new nursing students the skills and concepts that will forever change their lives as they transition into Practical Nurses.

Audrey Hubler, RN, BSN - Part-time Instructor

Audrey received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Fort Scott Community College in 2004.  Since that time her clinical experience has been mainly in the emergency department setting.  She then received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Pittsburg State University in 2014 and recently returned to school to obtain her Master’s Degree.   In addition to having ER experience, Audrey has also worked in the cardiovascular intensive care unit as well as worked in the urgent care setting and as a house supervisor.  She has a passion for teaching and has been active in the training and education of new nurses.  Audrey is excited to have the opportunity to share her experiences and knowledge with students and to encourage them as they grow in their journey.
